World Series

I saw something on the news about the Phillies winning the World Series, and I didn't even know it was going on. I've tried to do that before, but this time I really wasn't aware of it at all. That's another advantage of having a DVR. I record and watch shows later in order to fast forward through the commercials, and I generally skip the sports part of the news. How 'bout this?

Auntie Flame-
Great minds think alike. I just posted about the same thing. I think with everything going on in the world, no one gave a rats ass about the two teams that were in it. I know I didnt. Go Cubbies!!!

Auntie Flame -

Growing up in Pennsylvania, we were always Phillies fans. I was 13 when the Phillies won their last World Series and it was a HUGE deal.

But I don't really know too many Phillies fans anymore. Even my Dad and Brother have given up on baseball - they are all about football now. And I root for the New York teams.

So yeah, this world series was a big "Ho Hum".

We tuned into the bottom of the 9th inning last night - by mistake.

DD is right. There has been so much else going on in the world, it's hard to think of baseball. We normally follow the World Series (esp if the Yankees are playing), but this year didn't even know what teams were playing. Apparently, the TV ratings are way down for this year's series too.
