I Can't Hear You Trivia
A rock band amplified at close range is 140 decibels, which is 100 trillion times the hearing threshold and more than 100,000 times as loud as the level necessary to produce permanent hearing loss.

What?
Seriously, I think I've got some hearing loss due to concerts as well as high decibel levels in the lab (all that equipment humming in the background). One of my first concerts was AC/DC and Aerosmith, and I was right up by the speakers. Yikes! My ears rang for three days.
I kept a jar full of ear plugs in the familyroom for the boys when the band lived in our basement. My son used them because I INSISTED on it. The other boys started wearing them when I ran off an article making fun of a older rock star whose hotsy blond girlfriend had to yell everything in his ear - like grandpa with granddaughter... they didn't want to go there.
This is why I love going to see my lovely acoustic folk boys. LOL Far too many rock concerts in my day.
Eh?
No wonder the sound polution on the streets is so high nowadays, its because nobody hears a damn after going to a couple of concerts.
