FYI

David Hasselhoff is a tool. Just saying.

On The View this morning he said Obama needs to be more entertaining because he's boring when he makes speeches. Excuse me? The Hoff did this rap song about health care that he said Obama should perform to get people interested in it. Talk about being out of touch! One of the things President Obama is known for is his speaking talent. Sorry Knight Rider doesn't agree. Besides, it's not a requirement for me to have an entertaining president. Enough said about that.

Then Hasselhoff said since Obama's press conference about health care was on after America's Got Talent, they were a lead-in and as the number one rated show would bring in a larger audience for him. Thinks highly of himself, doesn't he?

Good grief!!! All I need is someone who knows what he is talking about!

Hey man, don't hassle the Hoff! ;)

You're right--what a tool.

i third the tool vote. generally, in my mind, european superstar is synonymous with toolness, if not utter douchebaggery, which the hoff also exhibts (google his name, drunk and cheeseburger and see what comes up from the search)

Perhaps the Hoff was hitting the bottle again because his ego is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overinflated.

And asshattery, Miss A - lest we forget! I saw that drunken video on TV somewhere, probably Keith's Countdown.

Obama is only as talented as his teleprompter allows him to be, and even the teleprompter would rather stop functioning than continue to hear him lie to the American people.

The Hoff is, to put it nicely, an '80's has-been desperate for one last quarter-hour of fame.

Debi, I'm just going to say this to you. This FOX "News" crap you parrot pisses me off. I made one comment on your blog disagreeing with one of your posts and have never done it again. I'd appreciate it if you would do the same. I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh and watch those FOX commentators on purpose because I don't want to be exposed to that hateful, uninformed, lying idiocy. Don't bring it here to me on my own blog and don't respond to this. Just quit doing it.

I can do that. For informational purposes, however, I should mention that I don't have cable and therefore don't watch FOX news. At all. I did think that you were up to open debate, but I see that that is not the case. I meant you no disrespect. I read your blog because it exposes me to differing viewpoints from my own.

Sorry Joy, but I think you might have had an 'anger moment'.
We all have our own viewpoint and political leanings, and I know mine are at odds with yours. Personally, I don't like the Dems right now - they bear no relation to the Dems of the 60s. Obama is 'not a patch' (British expression!) on Kennedy. But that's my 'opinion', and as you've often told me - I'm 'wrong'! Why do I always get that from women :-)?
But we remain friends, don't we? I always value your friendship, your blog and your comments.
I also value Debi's comments, which are closer to my views, and she has good points to make. If the US was a one party state, it would never thrive!
BTW, it made me laugh, but I have to key in the letters 'sableum' for word verification on your blog. I learnt this as a 'word' a long time ago, when I was in Asia. It means let there be peace amongst us in the original Old Chinese. The Chinese symbol is a Happy House'.

Debi,

You may not watch Fox News, but whoever gives you your information certainly does. While I have some differences with Mr. Obama, for example I think he should have already abolished "don't ask don't tell" I think in general he is a vast improvement over the degenerate, semi-literate jerk who preceded him. But, then that's just my opinion.

Oh, Jackie. Why do you make such statements about Bush? Your opinion, of course, but have you ever thought that your kind of view is so prevalent in the Democratic Party these days, which seems therefore to be that all others 'must be wrong'?
The same is happening over here in the UK, where the Labour Party have no tolerance for any one else's viewpoint.
What ever happened to democracy?

No one "gives" me my information. I gather it myself. I read, I listen to various news sources from both ends of the spectrum. Mostly I am old enough to have been taught actual history in school, and recognize the road that Obama wants to take us down as being the road to socialism, if not downright Communism. His mentors (cited by himself) are noted socialists, eugenists, and anarchists. He has put many of them into high positions in his administration, as czars so that they cannot be vetted by Congress, circumventing the foundational concept of checks and balances. These are not opinions, they are facts.

I am no fan of Bush either, but it has nothing to do with subjective opinions of his behavior in college. It has to do with the fact that he pandered to the lowest common denominator in Congress rather than stand up for his principles. Look where that got him.

and, for the record, you did a fine job of teaching me capitalization and all that. i'm just supremely lazy.
