Joy, I hate to say this, but when one looks at the make-up of the countries where hunger is most prevalent, one will discover that the leaders of those countries are totally corrupt.
Many of them were given their independence by the Brits in the '60s. Nothing good came out of that! Then look at N Korea. I feel for those hungry people while Kim Yong-Il dines on the best food and drink in the world (until his recent cancer).
My Economics Professor once stated that the 'masses' need to die to ensure that the rest of 'us' can live. I could have killed him!

It is very dishearten isn't? It seems like their is just more and more hunger every year. I just headed up a food drive at work for a group home that helps down and out single mother's with childern that don't have much. We ended up getting almost a full pick up of food like dry goods, can goods, and and snack items. They told me they will have food to give out for at least 3 months. A nice post a raise awarreness. I've missed you too. I tried getting on your blog the last two days, but it just kept "thinking" and would never get to the main page. Finally today I got on. Take care Auntie Flame!

this is just so disturbing. I don't think Americans realize just how great we have it.....our eyes need to be opened in so many ways.

I does put things in perspective, doesn't it?

Yes, it does Joy. Very sad we cannot pull together and remedy some of these problems. Greedy eyes seem to always get in the way. But, it helps when even one person is saved from dying of starvation or other easily corrected problem.
