Visit with the Boys

Brian and Brendan came down today for the afternoon and evening. We had such a good visit and all enjoyed it. We went out to eat, rode around, and had a good time. Brian and I got the little pool inflated and filled with water for Brendan to play in. He also played outside and in the house. We had fun with the activity books again, and Brian and I got to talk quite a bit. I told Brian he came here on Father's Day because I was both a mother and father to him. He's heard this before as you might have guessed. I got a divorce when he was five years old, so there's something to that in many ways.

Anyway, it was great to see him and spend time together. Melissa had a deadline for an art project she's completing for a gaming company, so she stayed home to work on that. Hope to see them next weekend for the Firefly Fine Arts Festival at the Renaissance Center here in Dickson. Information HERE.

The little dolphin sprayed water from his nose, but either it didn't show up by then or Brendan was ready for it to stop for a while.

The palm tree tops were supposed to be inflated, but we decided they could stay that way this time.

It was fun watching him play in it. I might inflate it again and fill it up and go sit in it soon while it's so horribly hot.

Thanks, FP! LOL

Sounds like a great day for all. Great pool...good idea for this hot weather.

So many of us were both Mom and Dad to our children...my daughter was about 13 months when I divorced her dad. Maybe they should have a Happy M&D Day? Just kidding...there are so many "days" now it is difficult to keep up with them. Also, in today's world many a divorced Dad actually takes part in their children's lives...such a good thing.
