Today is Einstein's birthday. March 14, or 3-14. As some of you know 3.14 is pi. Thanks to Rachel Maddow for our moment of geek! This is so clever and so Rachel! I love it!
Joy, if my other half, the Boy-Toy saw this post he would give you a big ole' kiss. Of the two of us he is the brainy one and was calling many of his friends to wish them a Happy Pi Day!
Our local station had two "folk singers" who sang the Pi song...they knew 100 digits of Pi and sang them until they were out of breath. to prove they memorized them, they sang together in unison- so they certainly memorized something!
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow. I feel my fate in what I cannot fear. I learn by going where I cannot go.
We think by feeling. What is there to know? I hear my being dance from ear to ear. I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Of those so close beside me, which are you? God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there, And learn by going where I have to go.
Light takes the Tree, but who can tell us how? The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair; I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Great Nature has another thing to do To you and me; so take the lively air, And, lovely, learn by going where to go.
This shaking keeps me steady. I should know. What falls away is always. And is near. I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow. I learn by going where I have to go.

mmmmm, pi...
btw, did you know that the Craig Ferguson video starts playing by itself when the page loads, so you can't play anything else?
I'll take it off. I noticed it did and have to stop it but didn't realize it prevented other videos from playing.
I love Rachel.
If I were a woman sexually attracted to women, I'd really......who am I kidding, that'll never happen.
But I still love me some Rachel.
I read Yann Martel's Life of Pi twice, does that count?

I'm glad to give him a thrill! You must show it to him! I never knew about Pi Day until Rachel did this piece.
I'm not a geek. I just taught them in school.
