The Sky

Did anyone notice that I changed the picture on the header of my blog? They are quite similar but the other one was an eclipse. What is this one?

It's a near conjunction of Jupiter and Venus with a crescent moon nearby.

A divergent lunar meniscus?

Joy: A smiley face on a teacher not quite close enough to vacation.
Vaklam...didn't know you were a star watcher...astrology too?
Chris: Is that a Vulcan term?

We went out the other night to see that. We can have weeks of fog and low skies in winter so we were happy to get a clear night. Very kewl!

Vaklam: Right you are, Monkey Boy!

Chris: Say what?

Charlie: Sounds about right to me. An upside down frowny face but a smiley face in the southern hemisphere.

FP: I saw it when I was driving and then went out and looked for it a few more times. Kewl for sure!
