FYI

Just so you know in case you've seen Sen. Bob Corker on the news, I did not vote for him and do not like him. He ran one of the dirtiest campaigns against Harold Ford that you might have heard about and has an annoying, whiny voice. He's been on the news lately talking about stipulations to impose on the auto industry before they could get bail-out money. We have some foreign car plants in TN but also have a Saturn plant and maybe some others. The point Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann have made is that they are non-union plants. I guess the Saturn plant might be, but don't know for sure. Anyway, I just wanted you to be sure to know how I feel about Corker.

We have Sen Collins who is always in the news for something. She sure knows how to get the publicity. we also have Sen Snowe, another lady. both Republican, they are fiercely independent so usually even we Democrats vote for them. They do an excellent job.

We have two lady senators, Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray.
Ms. Murray ran as a 'mom in tennis shoes', a 'slur' against her made by a state rep when she became politically active out of the same college co-op preschool program that I went thru will all three froggy children.

I've seen the Maine senators and Ms Murray on the news. We also have Lamar Alexander who was Sec. of Education under the first Bush. He started that Career Ladder program for teachers when he was governor of TN. It was a waste of money and decreased morale. I jumped through the hoops because I needed the money, but it was a farce.

And of course we had Fred Thompson.
