I had a drum lesson. Love Grammy. I love you. I want to see you & i love your house.I'm picking him up from school Friday afternoon while Brian and Melissa are in KY at a geek convention. Melissa sells her art at the Cons, and Brian plays games. Brendan will be with me all weekend until Sunday evening. Oh, he's started drum lessons once a week on Music Row in Nashville. This should work out since he's always liked to have something in each hand to beat on things with. Now he can do it rhythmically.

Grandmothering
My youngest grandson Brendan sent me his first email from his own email account. He typed it all, put the cursor where he wanted it, and clicked send. He will be seven in a few weeks. I'm thrilled that he wrote to me. He's been calling me regularly and doing phone performances with occasional bits of conversation when I can get him to. This is what he wrote to me ... I think it's so sweet and wonderful! Such a grandmother I am!

Being a rock band mum - drummers are like gold!
Hope you feel the same about the drums in a couple of months.
That first e-mail is one to be cherrished.
Awwwwwww ... so cute!!!
XOXOXOXO
Hey, Ken! I don't have to hear it. I'm the grandmother. He'll practice and have his drums at home! When my son was in band class, I told him I'd like for him to play an instrument I could stand to listen to when he practiced. He played the alto sax which was just fine. We lived in a very small house then, and thank goodness he wasn't interested in playing drums.
That's very cute of him
Go Brendan!! Aren't you lucky getting to be with him so much!
