Yep, love this one! The only thing I use my TV for is movies/documentaries, haven't been connected for TV service in nearly three years, don't miss it at all.
Favorite shows here are Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, news, Top Chef, Project Runway, etc. Used to watch Monk. Seem to have fallen out of the habit of series TV.Though we loves West Wing when we discovered it (one of Daughter's friend gave her the first season on dvd, little did he know he started us down the road of buying the whole series!)
LOVED West Wing and watched it regularly even when Aaron Sorkin didn't write it and it wasn't as good. It was still better than most shows even then. You could definitely tell a big difference, though.
Now that I have a DVR it's exactly as you said Joy....I can hardly keep up with it. It's great fun.Allows me to drop a lot of the crap I was hooked on...like Desperate Housewives and Wife Swap in the afternoon. How the hell did I let myself go there?
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow. I feel my fate in what I cannot fear. I learn by going where I cannot go.
We think by feeling. What is there to know? I hear my being dance from ear to ear. I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Of those so close beside me, which are you? God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there, And learn by going where I have to go.
Light takes the Tree, but who can tell us how? The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair; I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Great Nature has another thing to do To you and me; so take the lively air, And, lovely, learn by going where to go.
This shaking keeps me steady. I should know. What falls away is always. And is near. I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow. I learn by going where I have to go.

And David Frost would be the first not to be welcomed in my home!
True, for many of those on TV.
Although I'd give anything to ave the cast of Glee perform in my living room.

Have a great weekend!

(help me...) The Engineer and Gorilla Boy are geeking out over picking out a new tv.
One of my pleasures is watching TV. I would miss having one and invite all kinds of people into my home.
Do any of you watch Criminal Minds? What they're doing with Hotch is heartbreaking and well-written. What did you think of the Monk finale?
You might have to avoid those discussions, Froggy, until a final decision is made!
