Media

I'm sure some of you are planning to see Avatar. I'll probably babysit Brendan so Brian and Melissa can see it but will also watch it. I also want to see It's Complicated, Precious, Up in the Air, Nine, A Single Man, Invictus, and that one with Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker. I'll have to build up to seeing The Lovely Bones but will do it. Missed and will see on DVD: Julie & Julia, Inglourious Basterds, The Messenger, and Crazy Heart. I haven't heard much about The Young Victoria, The Last Station, and An Education but will see them. Have you seen any of these or have any recommendations?

The Good Wife has become one of my favorite shows on TV. Julianna Margulies is excellent in it, and the rest of the cast and the writing are outstanding.

Just sayin'

Truthfully, I rarely see movies at the theater, but catch them later on DVD.

There are some movies I prefer to see in the theater - ones with special effects mostly. I like the experience of being in the movie theater, and our local one has a senior deal on Mondays for $7 which includes a medium drink and popcorn. Normal cost is $6.75, so the refreshments cost a quarter. Linda and I go pretty often on Mondays since that's her day off.

Lovbed precious.
LOVED Julie & Julia.
Want to see Invictus and The Lovely Bones [Stanley Tucci fan, here] and The Young Victoria.
Plus, It's Complicated, as I would pay good money just to see Meryl Streep eat lunch.
With me.
In my house.

Saw Julie & Julia, it was faboo. Want to see Inglourious Basterds and Have You Heard About the Morgans?, also want to see Precious. Haven't heard about The Young Victoria, but if it's about Queen Vic, then I will put it on my list...

That might work out for you, Bob.

Thank you, Debi, for the positive, non-critical comment. It's a welcome change, and I appreciate it. Yes, that's about Queen Victoria and sounds good.

Oh good! I’m glad it worked! I hoped that my continuing to be nice would eventually get you to come around and comment the way you used to. It’s good that you changed your tone, paid attention to my requests, and are not making those negative comments any more. You’re the only one who reads my blog who continued to do it after I asked you nicely all those times not to do it. Thank you and welcome back, Deb!

Over the years Ive come to depend on you for lists of movies I haven't seen. My only other method seems to be 4 million post-its strewn between my desk and side table here in my media cockpit.
My computer bookmark system is the world's worst so I don't usually have entertainment sites included for regular checks.
I don't know why I have so many cooking sites. I may try .01% of the recipe I get excited about.

You know I'm with you on The Good Wife! Excellent show.

I bawled like a baby when reading The Lovely Bones. Not sure how I'd handle the movie!
