SNL

Did you see Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL? We knew she had to do it because they already look so much alike. Amy Poehler plays Hillary Clinton again in this hilarious sketch. What did you think about it?

I used Jimbo's link to SNL, so here it is!

Why does it say the video is no longer available?

I saw part of the sketch on tv this morning news. Hilarious and well done. Good writing."I can see Russia from my house" cracked me up. I forgot Phelps was going to be on or to be sure I would have watched it. Intead I caught the rerun of Coco. MacLaine was very good in it.But MacLain just gets another chance to be MacLaine.
Watching Meet the Press, very good until all my stations went out. It's the Direct TV problem- not about a signal pick up on this rainy day.
Same with me as sheena reports. No video.

I found the video at the Huffington Post. Hysterical. Tina Fey does Sarah Palin better than Sarah Palin herself. Priceless!

Thanks, Jimbo. I replaced the link. I just love this! Poor Hillary with all this. It has to be almost unbearable in so many ways.

Well, we all knew that had to happen. Even funnier than I thought it would be!! Thanks for your good wishes on DD's site- the people of the Gulf Coast need all the good thoughts they can get right now. You asked a question about Katrina vs. Ike that I wanted to address. New Orleans was built below sea level, and is basically a "bowl" surrounded by levees. If the levees had held, Katrina would not have been as bad, but they didn't and the bowl filled with water. There are no levees in Galveston... it is a beach that rises from the ocean. Part of Galveston's beach is even protected by a 17 foot concrete seawall, that actually held. The problem with Ike was twofold. The seawall in Galveston only protect the center of the island, so at points to the east and west Ike pushed the storm surge up and around the sea wall. And because he was 900 miles wide, he affected an enourmous swath of the Texas and Louisiana gulf coast. And, he maintained hurricane force winds all the way into densely populated Houston. Ouch!

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer this for me. I understand it now. I'm so glad you escaped and are safe! Your house is OK, right?

Thanks again!
