Olympics

I already miss the Olympics and am having withdrawal. I guess it's OK to get all wrapped up and obsessed with something that happens every two years. Although I love both of them, I prefer the Winter Olympics a bit more. This has been glorious. Now two more years until London and then two more until Sochi.

Until then, I do have the Oscars to look forward to Sunday night and the Independent Spirit Awards Saturday night. Top Chef Masters returns April 7. Check out the chefs HERE. Some of you will have feelings about at least one of them now, but we'll all have opinions once it begins.

As far as sports go, the next thing is March Madness :o)

Joy I'm so excited for the Oscars too! Could there be upsets in the wings? I'm only hoping for one lone dark horse to sneak in and snag best actress.
Gabourey Sidibe for Precious. Wouldn't that be a hoot.
Was it me or did the Winter Olympics just fly by?

Joy, I'm so with you . . . I really miss having the Olympics on TV right now.

In addition to their usual entertainment value, I'm thinking that right now the Olympics afforded us a delightful break from all the ugly that is going on in the world. I don't even watch to go back to Keith and Rachel to hear their takes on the horrible world of politics.

Same here, Marker. I took a break from Keith and Rachel during those two weeks. It felt good to watch healthy competition, excellence, and adrenaline rushes!

Sam, I'm pulling for Sandra Bullock. For Gabourey Sidibe and Carey Mulligan, it's amazing enough to be nominated for their first lead roles - especially along with Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren!

I don't miss sports, Ken, just the Olympics. That's the only sports event I watch regularly except for Wimbledon. I might watch the occasional basketball game or something but don't care much about watching sports in general. Awards shows - now that's another story! LOL

Damn I completely forgot about Sandy. Why did Meryl and Helen have to make movies this year? Oh Well I'm going to go with Sandra now.
Ain't Ms. Moon grand? Thanks for sharing such a great blog, damn what I'd give to be able and post such beautiful things.

YES! I'm so glad people are reading Ms. Moon's blog! I just love it. I don't always comment but read it regularly. She writes so well. I envy her ability to express herself the way she does.

I just have to be for Sandy!

thanks for update...almost called you today when My cable must have gone out temporarily and everything said to be announced and I hadn't set it for Oscar yet. Debbie reminded me yesterday when I was thinking the weekend is going so well, what could Sunday offer?
