Question

Is Michelle Obama pregnant? I don't mean to be rude, but have you noticed any difference lately? I have. Not just this dress. I thought so in that orange dress she wore in Copenhagen and the photo on Nutwood Beth's blog, too.

Wouldn't that be wonderful and exciting! If so, I hope it's a boy.

Wouldn't that be joyful?

Ya think?! Maybe it's just having a personal chef there in the White House- too much good food! Wouldn't it be exciting to have a Presidential birth? Have we had that before? Wasn't Jackie O "with child" during part of the JFK administration?

I just replied to you via email after I saw your comment about this on my blog. As I wrote, I think it was just a poofy dress. See how it has a little poof to it around the hips, then it's straight at the knees? Not really a good look for the usually elegant First Lady.

If she WERE pregnant, you can bet that these people who want to blame everything on Obama would blame him for THAT, too! LOL

I wished you one on Facebook, but will here, too: happy happy birthday! Hugs, Beth

Went to check my memory re Ginger's comment. Jackie Kennedy gave birth to a male child who died at 2 days of age in 1963. This was around the time my little brother was born and died at the same age.

It will be great for the first family. But I hate to say that if she is not pregnant she should fire her image consultant. She is sporting some ensembles lately that I kept saying what were they thinking? She is a powerful women and what they are trying to do is to subdued her with their selection of clothes. It is interesting the whole image and power when it comes to first ladies. Like they never want to portrait them as powerful, complex individuals they always tried to subdue them into the classic Betty Crocker archetype.
But we better not asked her. One time I had a dinner party at my house and a Fight almost broke out, because a friend asked my niece if she was pregnant, and my niece responded “the nerve of you to ask, you look yourself like you have a litter of ten.”

Frogponder how sad, and I do not know about you, but those kind of connections sort of keep the memory of your brother affiliated to a baby that you never knew other than in the news.

Just goes to show what her 22 staff cannot do in terms of advice on dress sense. I just have to wonder how Laura managed with one person.
All 22/1 paid for by the tax-payer, of course.

Auntie Flame- isnt it nice that you get angry Republicans commenting on your blog? It amazes me how all of a sudden a president and first ldy that have been in offfice for 9 months are the cause of this nations troubles?

I know! Amazing, isn't it?

I know as if Laura Bush should be an example of financial fiscal accountability. She was married to that shit head that fucking bankrupt the nation. Maybe Oxy can answer how much of Ms. Laura Bush Oil wealth was lost with the bank failures. Because to me it does not sound like she lost much. Unlike the rest of us that saw our pensions lost and even our homes taken away due to her lovely husband presidential fiasco,
