Cozumel

While I went to Cozumel, I can't say I was really there since I didn't experience being in the real area. It was 118 degrees and so humid that I couldn't handle it very well. I am not a rain forest kind of person and get over-heated here in Tennessee. After we left, they had a cold front that brought the temperatures down to the 80's. It rained a bit that day, so you know it was humid.

I could tell it's beautiful there. We did some shopping and exploring. I bought some vanilla, t-shirts, and jewelry. I wish I could have spent more time there and branched out a lot more. I guess we stayed there a few hours, but Tina and I both got over-heated. :-( I didn't take many photos. Sorry.

When we went to eat, I wasn't sure I'd be able to since I was so hot and clammy. Janie heard about a place she wanted us to eat she'd heard about which turned out to be a big mistake. Do not go to Senor Frog's unless you'd like a male Hooter's, which I know some of you would. It was a frantic frenzy with noise, sexual hats and signs. See what I mean? The one on the left says "Horny Girl" and you can see mine. All the pictures can be embiggened.

Maybe male Hooter's isn't the best description. It was more like some circle of hell according to Dante. To quote Dorothy Parker, "What fresh hell is this?" is also accurate. They're always doing something to you like putting hats or balloons on your head, setting signs behind you, goosing you, slapping you on the butt, blowing whistles, making all kinds of noise, and who knows what else! Here I am trying to be nice about it.

On the way back to the ship.

It's gorgeous, isn't it? Too bad there aren't more pictures from the male Hooter's. LOL

Auntie, when I told you too go looking for men, I was thinking more along the lines of the captain! LOL! Looks like you had a wonderful time and how beautiful. I hope to take a cruise one day.

Oh honey. If you had only had the energy to go one block over....
But thank-you for the pictures. They bring back sweet memories. Well, not of the ones of Sr. Frog's. I don't think I've ever been there and now you know why.

Someone was lucky that you didn't stuff a balloon where the sun don't shine!

Do you and Mr. Moon speak Spanish, Ms. Moon? I want to vastly improve on my high school Spanish, so I can actually communicate. I do want to go back when it's not so hot and to see more of the places. I planned to branch out this time.

That does sound like hell. I definitely don't appreciate people invading my personal space...

Senior Frogs is definitely pretty awful. We live on the island and can't think of even going there and enjoying ourselves. Too bad you didn't have a better tour guide. The island certainly has many fantastic spots for great food, and much more to see than just the downtown area.

Senor Frogs is icky... they have them all over Mexico.... and it is like Hooters in it obnoxiousness! Is that a word? It should be!

It wasn't the tour guide, Pawel, but one of my friends who got some bad information from her daughters of all people!! Never again! I'd love to see more of the real island sometime. Obnoxiousness is a word for us to use, Miss Ginger!

Who was the boy, next to you with the phallic balloons?

Love the picture of you with the balloons on your head.
We went to the one in the Cayman Is. and I didn't care for it either.

lelo - one of the "waiters"

No Papis there you'd want David!

I can't believe you never told me about this, Earl! I could have warned the others and had a nice, quiet lunch I could have enjoyed eating.

What a lovely hat Joy. How funny.
I hate anything remotely like Senor Frogs. Leave me the hell alone when I trying to eat or visit.
I've been to Mexico several times and the vendor thing is a problem.

Hi Auntie Joy!

That sombrero pic left me speechless. I wanted to check in and see if you had pics up, but I wasn't quite ready for that.

Can't wait to hear all of the stories behind the photos -- will have to have you over for coffee with minty cream!
