Happy 4th, Blogmates!
It's so hot here that the grass is crunchy. All fireworks, fires, grilling, and excessive use of water have been banned in parts of the state. We don't want to be on fire.

And here, surrounded by sage brush and cheat grass, we *always* have fire works and always have brush fires...
We had that ban last year but this year there's penty of moisture so all the pyromaniacs have an extra 12 months of pent up frustration to work out!
so what do you do? boil hot dogs and stay inside? hmmmmmmm Happy 4th my friend
