David told us about Whatever, Martha! on the Fine Living Network (FLN Tuesdays at 10:00 Eastern) and I watched it tonight. It's hilarious in a sort of uncomfortable way that's hard to explain. Martha Stewart's daughter Alexis and her friend Jennifer dish about Martha's shows from the archives in a similar way to Mystery Science Theater. Remember that? David mentioned that comparison, and it brought back funny memories. Martha is executive producer, so that says something. This is a show on Sirius Radio, which I don't have, so some of you might know about it.
Alexis and Jennifer write blogs. Here's the link if you want to check them out. And here's a promo for the show.

Why do you find it uncomfortable? I thought it was perfectly obvious that Alexis truly loves her Mom. But she realizes that Martha is ripe for ridicule - as many of our own mothers are.
I tell stories about "my crazy Mother" to my friends all the time. I see it as being very similar.
Besides, Martha - as Executive Producer - is a TOTAL control freak. She wouldn't let anything she didn't like hit the airwaves.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
I think it has to do with Alexis. She reminds me of one of my cousins in some ways. The show is funny, and yes it's obvious she loves her mother. That's not it. I'll think about it. I'm not feeling good, so everything is out of kilter right now.
Feel better.

They sometimes get pretty down and dirty with their digs at good ole' mom, but it is all in fun, and funny too. It gets a little irksome at times.
I've watched this online a few times, and I agree. It's funny yet really makes me uncomfortable.
I have bypassed this a hundred times. I'll stop next time and get a looksee.
make some puff pastry treats for yourself - you will feel better
