Dedicated on May 2, 1997, the monument, spread over 7.5 acres, traces twelve years of the history of the United States through a sequence of four outdoor rooms, one for each of FDR's terms of office. I've never been there but plan to go the next time I'm in DC.

I never knew there was an FDR memorial. I'd love to see it.
My MIL said, when growing up, she thought FDR was King because he always there all her life.
My favorite president, too. These quotes are especially meaningful now as they were then. Wish more people felt that way.
Nobody matches Franklyn and Eleanor-nobody.
It won't be long before D.C. will be all memorials, including the capitol buildings, and the city will still be crime ridden and broke as usual from the neglect of Congress, wherever it is. It is also so huge, how do they find the space for yet another memorial?
It was one of the few places in the country when I was traveling as a psychic lecturer that I had such bad vibes, I couldn't take it.
