Brendan (who is five) stayed with me from Friday afternoon until yesterday afternoon while Brian and Melissa attended a wonderful workshop at TRIAD (Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders) which is housed in Vanderbilt's Kennedy Center. The workshop they took part in yesterday was part of a Families First Program: Solving Behavior Challenges at Home. They missed two of the four workshops but got so much out of the one yesterday and will attend the one in early December. There are more of these in January and February on Tuesday evenings. I'm glad they have this resource and will get to know professionals and other parents.
We often say that Brendan is such a boy, and here is an example. He came over to me and said, "I farted." Then he pulled out his sweatpants and underwear and added, "See?" I looked (just to be sure) and told him you can't see farts, just smell them. I keep a straight face when he says this stuff but can't wait to tell it!

LOL Beth!
the illustration is probably my all time favorite joke. I so keep going back to that French castle, the hurling of insults and the hurling of dead cows.
