Once upon a time when the Ponder children were little we kept some frogs for pets. We fed them Damn Crickets (so named as we were always heading to the pet store to buy more damn crickets). Little amphibians would eat one and you could see it moving around in its stomach!!! ak!! That cured us of keeping frogs as indoor pets.
Wow! Melissa had a tarantula that ate crickets. The spider creeped me out and then hearing the doomed chirping crickets made it macabre. I'd keep the frogs outside, too.
