Amazon Trivia (no, not the river)

In October 1994, Jeff Bezos wanted to name his new Web venture "Cadabra," as in "abracadabra." But his attorney convinced him that this magical moniker sounded a bit too much like "cadaver." Reluctantly, Bezos went with his second choice: Amazon.com.

    And I believe he got in lots of trouble because, their was another book store with the name amazon

    Amazon.com sells my books. Hubby likes to buy things from it. As for me, I prefer to buy books and CDs from Borders (actual book store).
