Toy Trivia

The popular drawing toy Etch a Sketch, invented by Arthur Granjean, was originally named the L’Ecran Magique. Sales skyrocketed in 1960 after its name changed and some innovative TV advertising was launched.

  2. I do like French. It wasn't offered in my high school, so I never studied it. Spanish was and is helpful to know now that we have so many Hispanics living here. Italian came about because of people I socialized with and a class I took.

    I wish I knew many languages. In fact, that would be my super power - to be fluent in all the languages in the world!

  4. How about when the Etch-a-Sketch gets really old and the silver stuff starts to come out? In the old days it was surely toxic. These days? I don't know.
