Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are even incapable of forming such opinions.


Unfortunately, this is way too often the case, but with exposure, education, and experience people can learn, grow, and change. The operative word here is "can" since they can but often don't or won't.
