Possible Reprieve
My surgeon called yesterday (yes, he himself called) to tell me he needs more information before proceeding with surgery. The echocardiogram I had last week showed a difference from the MRI results, so he wants me to have a stress echo. I dread that since I've heard how hard this is on people. I have it Friday afternoon. Then I'll see Dr. Maltais next Thursday, August 2, to learn the results. He said he doesn't want to perform this surgery if it won't help my situation. Me, either. So I hope I won't have the surgery but really do want to feel better. I keep feeling worse. Maybe they can fix that some other way. We'll see and hope.
He sounds like a good doc!

Crossing all fingers and toes!!
ReplyDeleteFinger crossed here, too! And Shelby's paws are crossed, as well!
ReplyDeleteThis is good news, you may be able to treat without surgery. My mom recently was diagnosed with CHF and was able to forgo surgery since she was getting adequate flow to all areas.
ReplyDeleteSending you my best and I hope that you don't need surgery either..!
ReplyDeleteWhatever makes you feel better and keeps you with us the longest. Praying for you Joy.
ReplyDeleteAnother fly in the oinment! Well good look with the stress echo. Let me know how it goes! Send my regaurds to your doc. If he fucks this up he will have me to contend with! And YOU KNOW how I can be!
ReplyDeleteMy arms are going to be tired. With all this lifting.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's good news! Fingers crossed!
