About two years ago, in a neighboring town, a farmer cut the head off of a rattlesnake. The head ended up under a truck. The farmer reached in to retrieve it and the severed head FLIPPED over and bit the farmer. They had to airlift him into our hospital to give him treatment.
Still gives me the heebie-jeebies to think about it.
I think it still has to bite you. I hope FP gets back on here and lets us know. Based on that story she told about the head, I'd say they have to bite.
It gives me the creeps and scares me just knowing it.
